MonoDevelop used to auto instantiate a ViewController in the AppDelegate when the app finished launching. The new template when choosing an iPhone single view app does not do this.

I loaded the wrong template. It was a storyboard template.

BTW, in bugs like this, could you be specific about the template? MD doesn't instantiate anything in appdelegates...
