Sample project

To reproduce this issue, run the attached project on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and try to tap on the red label. Below you will see a list of all events handled by SimpleOnGestureListener. Very often you will get the OnScroll or OnFling event instead of the OnSingleTapUp one. It is necessary to tap very accurately to get the OnSingleTapUp event, which is not required on other devices.

Will need to get access to a S6 Edge to figure this one out

Hi Jason,
I see that you have such devices in your test cloud, so I hope it will not be a problem to find it for testing this issue.

sample project test on S6

I ran the sample project on a Samsung Edge S6. Initially I thought the small button was an issue, but I increased the size and the findings seem consistent.

When tapping the label I do see additional, unexpected gesture events.

I can also confirm OnSingleTapUp and OnSingleTapConfirmed don't fire consistently on tap gestures. I tried different speeds of tap and different intervals.

Hello David,

Any progress on this?

I've encountered this same problem on Samsung Edge S6. The extreme sensitivity of the scroll/fling event makes taps much too difficult to trigger. Maybe 1/5 of my taps actually registers as such.

This issue is still actual for the Samsung Galaxy S8 device.
