Reproduction of issue

This is the same issue as described in ticket 36163 which I have commented on with a reproduction of the issue.  The same code works without issue on other platforms.

As described in 36163 the image is rendered if you rotate the device.

The problem occurs when the ListView.ItemTemplate is referencing a DataTemplate created from a separate class. The problem is not effective when the DataTemplate is declared inline. Our use case requires choosing the template at runtime and we are also injecting into the template using an IOC container. Having checked against a Windows Phone 8.0 project it appears to work as expected.

Please note that this issue also affects Windows 10 Mobile projects.

This issue is fixed in an upcoming release.

I have checked this issue with Xamarin.Forms 2.2.0-pre4 and its working fine.

Hence closing this issue.
