Description Vincent Dondain [MSFT] 2016-03-01 20:56:36 UTC
Basically, when you jump between XI versions, currently you need to, at least close, your project to not hit any error.

Sebastien told me that customers are complaining about that and it's true that we could avoid those errors by, for instance, systematically closing the opened solution after a new framework version is installed.

Here is a video showing the problem: http://quick.as/XwgdUBWQp

Note: the button when you confirm you want to install the new version of XI says "Restart and Install Update".

I attempted to reproduce this issue based on the bug description with the latest Visual Studio 2017 for Mac Preview version 7.2, and I was unable to hit the problem. If this issue is still occurring for you, please reopen this report.
