Using MonoTouch I'm in the iPhone Application Project Options area. I have images assigned such as for the icons, splash screens, app store, etc. If I rename a file in the solution it will not properly update the prefs.plist and breaks the compile. I right click the image, choose rename, set the name and then do a rebuild all and it fails to compile. I have to go to the advanced area of the options area to manually remove the image from the Icon Files list.

This is complicated to implement as it is not possible to know which keys need to be kept in sync with files in the csproj and which do not. We might be able to support a subset of known keys, but there is no general way to allow this behaviour.
