Please create a new report on
Developer Community or GitHub with
your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Create iOS single view project in XS
2) Open Assets.xcassets folder
3) Add Image Set and rename it to "Image"
4) Add second Image Set
XS automatically changes name of second image set to "Image-1", but user can rename it to "Image" manually and XS won't show any alert or warning.
XS should rename second image set to "Image-1" even if user is trying to change it manually(like in Xcode)
fixed in git master
Now I can observe another naming issue: http://screencast.com/t/cRW4gxueJvtI
As you can see from screencast it's impossible now to rename image asset to just "Image" if you have two image sets named "Image-1" and "Image-2".
Verified with: https://gist.github.com/27e0bb77a230ca38f06a
Do you have a directory on the file system already named "Image"?
So I've just tested this and had no problem renaming an Image asset back to "Image" from "Image-1".
The only way this can fail is if you have a file or directory named "Image" in your .xcassets directory, possibly left there from some previous tinkering?
Hey, yeah @Jeff you were right, there was a folder named "Image" left there from some previous tinkering:)
Closing this one.
