Debug builds, particularly in the simulator, have a background thread triggering GCs every second.

It's a great helper to find memory management issues, but it causes a lot of headache when doing memory profiling.

Each GC produces significant amounts of profiler data, thus making long running sessions not practical at this point.

So it would be great if we could disable that background GC when profiling.
