Somehow the emulator is always being started in medium DPI with a smaller screensize than I originally configured in the SDK manager.

If I boot the device using the SDK manager it works correctly, so I think there are some weird parameters being passed to the emulators.

Here are the parameters we pass to the emulator:

emulator -partition-size 512 -no-boot-anim -avd <avd_name>

Maybe their are some additional ones we should be passing but aren't?

In an upcoming version, there will be an option for you to specify what parameters are being passed to the emulator, so you can control this.

This may be related to "-scale 0.8" or something similar.
