Description colinc86 2016-01-10 19:47:01 UTC
I get the warning:

Warning: The app icon set "AppIcons" has an unassigned child.

in every project I create, even when "AppIcons" isn't a valid icon name (i.e. not contained in any project directory, under any xcassets directory). Restarting Xamarin does nothing to silence the warning. Cleaning any and all references to images does nothing to silence the warning.

Thanks @colin.

The issue what that the Content.json file we ship with the asset catalog had the wrong information for the "car" asset.

Until the fixe lands, here is the workaround if you want to "silence the warning":
- Open the Content.json inside the AppIcons.appiconset folder with any text editor.
- Change:

     "idiom": "car",
     "size": "120x120",
     "scale": "1x"

     "idiom" : "car",
     "size" : "60x60",
     "scale" : "2x"
     "idiom" : "car",
     "size" : "60x60",
     "scale" : "3x"

That will solve the issue.
