### Workaround

1: Remove all packages from Android App (including Forms)
2. Add Xamarin.Forms from NuGet
The act of adding Xamarin.Forms from NuGet will retrieve the correct versions of the various Android support libraries, including those that are throwing the error
Comment 2 Peter Collins 2016-01-27 21:00:39 UTC
This is by design. Any given Forms package has both a minimum and maximum version of Android.Support.* (and GooglePlayServices.*) that it supports. New versions of support library bindings have resulted in breakages in Forms in the past. As a result, this was the best solution decided on at the time to ensure new versions of support bindings could be released when ready, while ensuring Forms users would be prevented from upgrading to a version that might break their project.

Unfortunately removing and trying to add Xamarin.Forms from Nuget does not resolve this.

Nuget lists Xamarin.Forms depends on of

However Nuget has

Any other workarounds?

The workaround is to add-remove-add-remove-add until it works. I had to try 3 times.

I tried this workaround 3 times and it didn't work for me. Do I need to dance around in a circle too? would like to resolve this issue since I want to use a cross platform progress/loader bar plugin in my Xamarin.Forms project -see github issue
