Description Frank A. Krueger 2016-01-08 02:21:22 UTC
When trying to compile my app, I get this error:

"The target iOS device architecture is not supported by the build configuration: ARMv6_ARMv7"

The project settings are for ARM64 only. I don't know why it's trying to build the other archs.

Building Solution: iCircuit.iOS (Debug|iPhone)

Comment 1 Jeffrey Stedfast 2016-01-08 02:26:18 UTC
It's targeting armv6 and armv7 because those are the architectures supported by the iPad and you have device-specific builds enabled in your Project Options.

It's possible that your iPad supports arm64, in which case our detection logic needs to be fixed.

Or perhaps we should just ignore device-specific build settings if the arch is not supported by the device?
Comment 2 Jeffrey Stedfast 2016-01-08 17:59:02 UTC
Looks like our device -> arch mapping was wrong.

iPad4,5 is an iPad Mini 2 which is ARM64, not ARMv7.

Going to try and squeeze this fix in for the next release (altho I am cutting it close)
Comment 4 Danish Akhtar 2016-01-11 06:15:43 UTC
I have checked this issue with XS 5.10.3.6-4fba1561a234e6edc07349fd83a5a5f2012b8a74 and observed that iOS application is build successfully on iPad Air2, when ARM64 supported architecture is selected in XS.

As per Comment 3, I will verify this once build is come in Release Branch.
Comment 5 Danish Akhtar 2016-01-12 05:43:23 UTC
I have checked this issue with XS 5.10.3.6 mentioned above and observed that iOS application is build successfully on iPad Air2, when ARM64 supported architecture is selected in XS. Screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/YvMNYln8

Hence closing this issue.
