test program for wrong size
The size of i.e. a Panel (or Picturebox) is different from the programmed size (larger).
I have attached a very simple program which shows this bug. It can be compiled with VS15 or gmcs.
* a Form includes a Panel with size 500x500 pixel, yellow background color
* a bitmap which is also 500x500 pixel (red color) is drawn into this panel
it is expected that just the red bitmap is visible since it completely fills the yellow panel.
This works well in .NET. But in mono the size of the panel is not 500x500 but it is larger than programmed.
Additionally the size is different on a PC (Ubuntu, Suse..) or on a Raspberry.
In Linux you still see a part of the yellow panel because it is too large.
I had this same issue with my project. The workaround I figured out is to comment out AutoScaleDimensions and AutoScaleMode in MainForm.
Grady, thanks, this commenting out these lines work fine.
the same effect has setting AutoScaleMode "none"
