Regards Colin...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<ContentPage xmlns="http://xamarin.com/schemas/2014/forms"
             x:Class="HTHPdt.LoginPage" >

    <Label Text="{Binding Title}" FontSize="Large" HorizontalOptions="Center" />
      <StackLayout Spacing="4">
        <Label Text="Username" Style="{StaticResource MicroLabel}" />
        <Entry Text="{Binding Username}" x:Name="UsernameValue" Keyboard="Email"/>

        <Label Text="Password" Style="{StaticResource MicroLabel}" />
        <Entry Text="{Binding Password}" IsPassword="True" x:Name="PasswordValue"/>
        <Button x:Name="LoginButton" Text="Login" />

        <ActivityIndicator x:Name="Activity" IsRunning="False" />

Comment 1 Rod Sanford 2016-04-15 18:37:24 UTC
My workaround to this was to bind the isvisible as well as the isrunning to my viewmodel to turn it off and on. Still needs a fix however.
Comment 2 Anonymous 2016-10-14 09:37:01 UTC
I too experience this. My IsVsible is bound to a boolean which is false. Rod's workaround isn't a good solution if you e.g. center the login form (including the indicator), because the position of the form will change when you change IsVisible on the indicator.

Fixed by using Rod's workaround.

*** Bug 50584 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 5 Rui Marinho 2017-03-14 11:07:50 UTC
Should be fixed on 2.3.5-pre1
Comment 6 Saurabh Paunikar 2017-07-10 09:13:42 UTC
Verified on xamarin.form version

Hence marking this as verified.
Comment 7 Shimmy 2017-08-10 12:46:52 UTC
Same here.
Workaround is bind IsVisible property:

    <ActivityIndicator x:Name="ai" IsRunning="{Binding IsBusy}"
      IsVisible="{Binding IsRunning, Source={Reference ai}}" />
