Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Prepare Mac OS with Japanese language
2. Launch Xamarin Studio
3. Input some Japanese character 
4. Click anywhere on test editor.

Actual Results:
 Japanese characters gets disappears.

Expected Results:
Japanese character should not disappears on clicking on the editor.

I did some experimenting around with this, it seems like the text only disappears when it's not committed yet. This is also happens outside the text editor in regular GtkEntry widgets if you focus away from the entry while the IME isn't yet committed. Xamarin Studio seems to cancel the IME if you click inside the text editor while it's uncommitted, which is different than other gtk widgets. They don't cancel uncommitted text until they lose focus.
