Description Leigh 2012-02-27 16:28:02 UTC
I'm using MD v2.8.6.5, MT v5.2.5 and XCode 4.3.

At the end of last week, I started to receive this error when attempting to open my xib files in XCode:

Project file [filename] cannot be opened because the project file cannot be parsed.

Previously, working with XCode 4.3 had been working perfectly. I'm now presented with an error box whenever I attempt to edit my xib. When editing my xib, I have no code visible, so I'm unable to drag outlets etc.

I've googled, and I see that this was a known problem with 4.2 that was apparently fixed in MD 2.8. It's still an issue for me with 4.3.

Are there any known quick fixes? I have to have an app out in just two days time.

As a temporary workaround, rename your project to something without a space in the name.

This is the problem section in the project.pbxproj file:

/* Begin PBXNativeTarget section */

			isa = PBXNativeTarget;
			buildConfigurationList = B410EBC00000000000000000 /* Build configuration list for PBXNativeTarget "CMSO Forum" */;
			buildPhases = (

				5EED9F800000000000000000 /* Frameworks */,
				4330C7000000000000000000 /* Resources */,
			buildRules = (
			dependencies = (
			name = CMSO Forum;
			productName = CMSO Forum;
			productReference = BB7160000000000000000000 /* CMSO Forum.app */;
			productType = "com.apple.product-type.application";
/* End PBXNativeTarget section */

Notice that the 'name' and 'productName' values are not properly quoted.

I'll try to get a fix for this into
