We are adding a recipe in the Buildroot build system to compile libgdiplus, and it is very important to have the right license configuration.
It is not easy to find out what is the license of the libgdiplus source code.
There is a LICENSE file that says that libgdiplus is licensed under the terms of the GNU Library GPL or the
Mozilla Public License 1.1.
But there is also a COPYING file that says that libgdiplus is licensed under MIT.
What is the correct license? Would you please fix it in the source code repository?
As the main author, can you answer that? We'll can take care of fixing the repo.
The license was changed from MIT to the dual licensed LGPL or MPL 1.1 on Sep 20, 2004: b0edf8a5996e0ed6d9cba1292aac239179afc6b0
Seems like we forgot to remove the COPYING file.
I'm reopening because the COPYING file is still there in the master branch of the repository.
Would you please point me to the commit that fixes this problem?
The COPYING file was removed with https://github.com/mono/libgdiplus/commit/e1fb6fe92d4b1691d3ded9ba5356a7e782cfa234
