Description Philipp 2015-11-24 04:23:49 UTC
After https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=36002 has been fixed with the latest release, we still have an issue when the ContentView is faded in.

See the following project: https://github.com/philippd/ContentView-Bug.git

- Tap on Show
- Tap on Hide
- Tap on Show again

-> the label is not shown

Workaround: Setting the ContentView to visible and opacity to zero before changing the content works.

The issue has to do with you creating a "new" Label every time you hit the first button. If you change the Text property instead of allocating a new Label, then it works. I'm not sure why a new object creates a problem.

Try using

(testContent.Content as Label).Text = $"Hello {count++}";

Still, I'd prefer a fix or explanation why this is the case.

This appears to no longer occur under the latest prerelease (2.3.3-pre4) compared to the version attached to the reproduction.
