Description Jon Douglas [MSFT] 2015-10-29 16:07:15 UTC

The LG Leon H324 does not seem to play nicely with VS/XS during debugging. Other devices such as the Samsung Galaxy A3 work fine.

Here are a few observations:

VS - Application closes right after the application starts.

10-23 14:56:34.069 I/ActivityManager(  711): Killing 22377:Mono.Android.DebugRuntime/u0a85 (adj 15): empty #9

10-23 14:54:37.980 I/ActivityManager(  711): Killing 12548:com.aexsoft.TestApp/u0a91 (adj 11): remove task

XS - Application works, but breakpoints do not.

//File -> New Android Application

10-23 16:09:08.395 I/ActivityManager(  711): Killing 24273:Mono.Android.DebugRuntime/u0a85 (adj 15): empty #9

//Company's Application

10-23 16:09:36.102 I/ActivityManager(  711): Force stopping com.aexsoft.TestApp appid=10094 user=0: from pid 25016

10-23 16:09:36.103 I/ActivityManager(  711): Killing 24903:com.aexsoft.TestApp/u0a94 (adj 0): stop com.aexsoft.TestApp

10-23 16:09:36.187 I/WindowState(  711): WIN DEATH: Window{eaa8f7b u0 com.aexsoft.TestApp/com.aexsoft.testapp.TrialSplashScreen}

10-23 16:13:47.820 I/ActivityManager(  711): Killing 25189:Mono.Android.DebugRuntime/u0a85 (adj 15): empty #9

There do seem to be a few "remove task" items here, but the general scenario goes like the following:

1) Open App in XS.

2) Connect another device (Samsung Galaxy A3 in this case), clean all, rebuild all, run in debug mode - all works fine, breakpoints works fine.

3) Right after that - Connect LG Leon, clean all, rebuild all, run in debug mode - App works fine, breakpoints do not work.

The customer has tried multiple solutions as well, so it does seem specific to this device.

There are 4 logs here titled with the respective application and IDE.
