Your machine has the dnxcore PCL profiles installed which breaks Xamarin Studio and Visual Studio 2013 and lower. This is a bug introduced by Microsoft with the new version of VS 2015 update 1 or Windows Tools 1.1. The NuGet team want to see this change reverted.

This dnxcore profile breaks other existing NuGet packages that include PCL assemblies.

The workaround is to remove the ASP.NET Core 5.0.xml files from the PCL profile. For more details please see bug #34520
