this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
MonoMac sandboxed apps must be signed with the entitlements. The Addin should include a way to select the entitlements file to use when packaging/signing.
To include sandboxing, all that (seems) to be needed is passing the --entitlements option (with the path to the entitlements file) to the codesign command when signing the .app bundle.
The entitlements file would include the necessary properties to enable sandboxing.
xcode seems to also 'translate' the .entitlements file to an .xcent using builtin-productPackagingUtility, but this didn't seem necessary..
