On OS X, text entry in dialogs (find, open type, open file, etc) does not support some standard keyboard shortcuts. Two that are missing that I try to use all the time are Ctrl+k to clear to end of line and Ctrl+d to delete the next character.
This is frustrating since I'm in the habit of restarting text entry by hitting Ctrl+a Ctrl+k and this works in every other OS X app I use.
This should also be added to the debugger immediate window, including Ctrl+p and Ctrl+n (should behave like up and down arrows).
This is odd, I can also see this problem
Needs to be implemented for GtkEntry etc.

Patch adding keybindings
This patch to gtkrc.key.mac adds the following key bindings:
- Ctrl+d to delete the character following the cursor,
- Ctrl+k to delete from the cursor until the end of the paragraph,
- Ctrl+p as arrow up,
- Ctrl+n as arrow down.
Now in "testtext", Ctrl+n is also used as action for "new window". So with the default GTK+ installation Ctrl+n conflicts a bit. With MonoDevelop this should not be a problem because the menu actions all use command like they should.
Ctrl+d, Ctrl+k can probably be upstreamed without problems however.
Landed in bockbuild, thanks!
