Description Gary Briggs 2015-09-26 20:30:05 UTC
I have monodevelop current-as-of-right-now installed from the Xamarin repo: 5.10.0.609-0xamarin9 on 64-bit Ubuntu 15.04

I checked the checkbox to highlight identifier references, but clicking on an identifier in my VB.NET code [which I assume should include variable names] in the editor, I don't see other mentions highlighted. I tried all the different themes, in case it was just colors being hard to distinguish, but didn't see any changes

That's because it's not supported in VB.NET - nor code completion or other advanced features.

ATM we only support c# and f#.

Please consider this an enhancement request, then, instead of an issue?
Comment 3 Mike Krüger 2015-09-28 11:31:54 UTC
The enhancement request would be : add vb.net support.

Highlighting identifier references is just a micro feature of the vb.net binding.

I would like to have VB.NET support but I fear it's not on our roadmap atm :(
