Options for Storyboards in Visual Studio (filtered)
Currently in Visual Studio, if you want to add a new Storyboard, your creation option when you do a right click-> Add New is to choose between an iPhone, iPad or Universal Storyboard View Controller.
This creates a View Controller along with the associated Storyboard(s) and is the only creation option.
In Xamarin Studio, Add -> New File you have the option to create empty Storyboards, and Stand alone View Controllers.
We should work on bringing these in parity so that the dialog and creation is the same for either IDE.

XS Storyboard creation options
We have two separate templates, one for view controllers and one for storyboards. I think that's the corresponding VS idiom for what you're seeing?
