Description denis.zakharov 2015-09-04 05:01:48 UTC
There is a some serious inconvenience in Xamarin Studio UX for Mac.
Pressing Control-C is not the same as pressing Control-Ц but the keys are the same.

The feeling becomes especially! bad when I have to insert some lines of code into Skype window.

Could you please suggest something?

Sorry. I've ment Cmd-C and Cmd-Ц of course.
Comment 2 Chris Hamons 2015-09-04 09:10:15 UTC
Thanks for the report!

However, this is a report against Xamarin.Studio (for Mac), not Xamarin.Mac (which is a framework for writing Mac applications).

I'm moving to the correct product now.

Xamarin Studio logs from my repo of issue

I was able to reproduce this issue in my tests. In particular, I noticed that if I set the keyboard & system language to "Russian - Phonetic", the Ц is treated as in the same location as the C key; which seems consistent with the description.

Also, according to my tests with both of the Mac apps "Notes" & "TextEdit", using cmd+Ц does seem to have the same impact as the normal usage of cmd+C; but Xamarin Studio does not treat this as the same command.

## Build Information
(Note: I did this in a Mac VM, so I only installed Mono & XS to test; since the other tools weren't needed to test copy / paste functions):
