You're supposed to use the shared PHAssetResourceManager.DefaultManager for all operations.

Correct. It's not annotated correctly in Apple headers but the intent is clear

Fixed in maccore/xcode7 e12f251bbeaf48851dcd77f427a8f91de694a456
