Description Jon Goldberger [MSFT] 2015-08-17 16:24:47 UTC
## Description

This is the same permissions issue as noted in this bug report against VS: #31744

VS 2015 Setup is installing the Android SDK Manager into %ProgramFiles(x86)%. This means that installing a new Android SDK manager will require elevation. We need to force the launching of the Android SDK Manager as an elevated process so it won't fail for the user later on when he tries to install a new SDK version, do updates etc.

This was already done for VS as per the above linked bug report.

I am successfully able to reproduce this issue with XS 5.10.3.51, if Android SDK Manager into %ProgramFiles(x86)% then "Android SDK Manager" does not ask for elevation on opening the SDK Manager from XS on Windows.

However this issue does not exist with C7 XS 6.0 (build 5165). On opening the SDK Manager from XS on Windows then "Android SDK Manager" ask for elevation.

So I am closing this issue.
