Description tvoth 2015-08-14 16:38:06 UTC
When using a ListView that has a ViewCell (to hold a horizontal StackLayout) the labels do not show until the screen is resized even though the icons at the start of the StackLayout look fine. When the window is resized the labels appear. This behavior does not happen for an Android, iOs, or Windows Silverlight application; only Windows Store / Universal.

Simple source code that exhibits this behavior can be found at https://bitbucket.org/tvothcalico/winuniversal-listview

This issue still persists with Xamarin.Forms See the branch feature-update-forms-version for the version of the code that did this update.

I was able to reproduce this issue using the "feature-update-forms-version" branch of the repo linked in the bug description.

## Steps to reproduce

1. Launch the Windows Universal app to the local machine.

Expected result: Should see Labels next to each icon in the ListView.

Actual result: No text labels are displayed next to the icons in the ListView.

2. Now resize the app Window, bigger or smaller does not matter, and the text Labels appear.
