Create new project and replace the App.cs with the following

A modal-based-page Master-Detail Page has isPresented is true, and a Navigation.PopModalAsync() has been programmatically called. A Navigation.PopToRootAsync () then is programatically called, and the app is now back in root page with a visible white background with the same width and height as the Master page

The app then crash when tapped.

Xamarin.Forms.Page MainPage is a Navigation Page.

(Steps to reproduce)
• RootPage: ContentPage
-------- PushAsync() is called

• ContentPage is shown
-------- PushModalAsync() is called

• MasterDetailPage is shown
        {Master:ContentPage | Detail:NavigationPage}
-------- SideBar Opened (top left button pressed. IsPresented = true)
-------- PopModalAsync() is called to pop the modal async (Master Page is still being opened)
-------- PopToRootAsync() is called

• Root:ContentPage with white background in the same size as Master Page

• Any Tap at the screen at this point will cause it to crash.

• No Debug exception stack trace received.
• No SIGTERM error
• No Xamarin.Insights report received as well.

• Only happened in iPad.
• Tested in iPad Mini 3 runnin iOS 8.3

Attached here is the App.cs on replicating the issue as shown in the screencast above

Should be fixed in 1.5.2-pre1
Comment 3 Parmendra Kumar 2015-10-26 06:55:10 UTC
I have checked this issue with Xamarin.Forms 1.5.2-pre1 and its working fine.

Hence closing this issue.
