Description Prashant Cholachagudda 2015-07-24 03:30:36 UTC
When customer tries to build an iOS project from TFS it connects to incorrect build host, resulting build failure.

When they added some debugging in the Xamarin.iOS.Common.After.targets file to see the value of the $(ServerAddress), and the value of the MtouchTargetsEnabled after the SayHello task, and they got this in their log:

Opening control connection
Build server control connection failed
Attempt to connect to the build host timed out (5s)

As you can see, they are asking to connect to server, but the SayHello task tried to connect to

Changing the following register keys works for them as temporary workaround:

Please check if this scenario is currently working with XMA, since old Build Host is not supported anymore.

As we've added several improvements to our build system and deploying/debugging mechanism since the bug was reported, I'm resolving it tentatively as Fixed.
That said, if you're still facing this issue with current bits, please feel free to reopen the bug.
