System.IO.IOException: Win32 IO returned 997.
at System.IO.FileStream.Seek (Int64 offset, SeekOrigin origin)
Some guys install Amazon store on their BB somehow, and install our app and get crash.
I googled, 997 is Win32 error that states that overlapped IO op is in progress. Funny that Android is completely okay with that. And more funny that we see "Win32" on linux OS :)
Cool thing that BB crashed after passing pretty big part of our init logic, and i hope that differences between BB and android are quite small.
Probably simple Apps even work on BB without issues
Okay, Seems Amazon Store is preinstalled on BB 10.3+.
This explains huge amount of crashes from BB devices.
Seems all our crashes happen when reading something from APK file.
Maybe our reads are not internally serialized with some runtime reads from APK (code prefetch maybe) and this error happes.
It happens in different places, this means that it is sometihng with thread/io synchronization
Thank you for taking the time to submit the bug. Please attach a reproduction to the bug by starting with a clean Xamarin.Android project and adding just the code necessary to demonstrate the issue.
Since this is an issue directly with a BB device, we will also need to know what version of Android this BB runs, and the device model in attempts to reproduce.
Thus marking this bug as NEEDINFO until we have a valid means of reproducing.
Because we have not received a reply to our request for more information we are closing this issue. If you are still encountering this issue, please reopen the ticket with the requested information. Thanks!
