I'd like to suggest a feature in MonoDevelop to launch the iPhone Simulator without having to run the app. There may be times I want to reset the simulator prior to running the new code. Presently I have to run my app, then reset the simulator, then run the app again.
Thanks for taking the time to suggest new features, it is always much appreciated.
While I understand that you would want to have a button in XS that lets you start the simulator right away and even if we could technically do it, I do not think that is something we need the IDE to do since there are other ways to achieve what you are trying to do.
The simulator is a standalone application as part of the Xcode tools.
You can start it with the command line like that:
When the simulator is running, you could also pin it to your OS X dock so it is always accessible.
This way you can always start it very easily and reset it whenever you need.
Hope these explanations will satisfy you.
