I'd like to suggest improvements to the SVN integration within MonoDevelop. Presently in 2.4.2 there is only a PUBLISH... option on the solution. This is fine for someone setting up a new project, however, when I add a developer to my team how do they get a working copy from SVN?
We use a HTTPS URL to connect to Visual SVN server running on a Windows server. I can't find any way to "pull" instead of "publish" a solution to setup a new machine, etc.
I would also like to see integration offer the option to branch and other basic SVN management features.
The command for pulling projects from SVN is Checkout, available in the FIle menu. Maybe it makes sense to move it to the Version Control menu, next to publish.
I think the best is a blend of both options:
1) Add File..Version Control
2) In the context menu add "Checkout..." to the Version Control section
Checkout in the solution pad context menu doesn't really make sense. Lluis was suggesting it could go in the "version Control" main menu.
Right now you don't have "Version Control" in the File menu, doing so would help this problem.
Command moved to the main Version Control menu.
