Description Paul Johnson 2015-05-01 09:56:38 UTC
Under the previous version of Xam.iOS (8.9.3), I could build my app without an issue. I still can, but those previously allowed to run the app with a debug profile seem to now be locked out (they get the "you don't have the correct profile" error. The version number system seems to have also messed up.

Previously, the version would be 2501 with the build number being 2.0.111. This would produce a debug version with the filename myapp-2.0.111.ipa. It now produces an app called myapp-2501.

As 8.10 is now in stable, I cannot revert back down and cannot deploy the debug version to testers

@Jeff, can you have look?

@Paul, you can download older packages from your Xamarin Store account (https://store.xamarin.com/account/my/subscription/downloads).
Comment 2 Paul Johnson 2015-05-01 10:08:06 UTC
@Rolf - thanks mate - need to put that on the production box at home
Comment 3 Jeffrey Stedfast 2015-05-01 10:33:44 UTC
What is your CFBundleShortVersionString value? That's the value it uses.

The Version textbox in the Info.plist editor maps to CFBundleShortVersionString while the Build textbox maps to CFBundleVersion
Comment 4 Paul Johnson 2015-05-02 21:26:48 UTC
Ah, in that case there has been a change between the last stable and current stable as the old version used CFBundleVersion for the build while the new uses the CFBundleShortVersionString

	<string>FTrack Live</string>

(this is from my info.plist file)

Question remains though, why with a developer profile for debug that contains a number of devices can the other devices not run an app built with the current Xam.iOS (they give the not correctly provisioned error). The profile worked with 8.9
Comment 5 Jeffrey Stedfast 2015-05-04 15:03:46 UTC
That's a question for Rolf...
Comment 6 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2015-05-05 04:47:42 UTC
@Paul, you should be able to run the app on all devices included in the provisioning profile. Are you using Xamarin Studio to deploy to these other devices, or some other means? Exactly where do you see this error?
