When navigating a DataGridView by the up and down keys the navigation can get "stuck" below a hidden row. For example in a DGV with three rows with the 2nd row hidden it is impossible to navigate to the first from the third by pressing the up key. On windows this does not occur
Looking at the mono source it seems that the the use of the MoveCurrentCell code. When it is told to move to a hidden row/column it iterates via i++ to the next visible row/col. This is incorrect for the up/left keys in which it should iterate to the previous via i--.

Expected behavior / .Net
Click on first row.
Press down -> Selection goes to second visible row.
Press up -> Selection goes to first visible row.
Observed / Linux mono
Click on first row. Press down -> Selection goes to second visible row.
Press up -> ** Selection remains on second row **
