Description thomas.loidolt 2015-04-28 05:37:53 UTC
At the serialization of my class hierarchy I set the IsWrapped attribute of System.ServiceModel.MessageContractAttribute to false. The result should be that this tag isn't present but only the element name isn't present and so the parser of the service is running in an error because of wrong XML.

[System.ServiceModel.MessageContractAttribute(IsWrapped = false)]
public class SampleServiceRequest

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><s:Body>< xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><SampleService><ItData><item>"TestDAta"</item></ItData></SampleService></></s:Body></s:Envelope>

As you see there is an open tag after the body tag without an element name.

Is there an easy way to repro this?

It is plausible that this will be fixed in the Xamarin.Android 5.2 series, which replaces the previous System.ServiceModel implementation with Microsoft's Referencesource implementation, but I can't verify that without a testcase.
