Description William 2015-04-13 23:11:03 UTC

I'm developing a cross platform flight simulator using OpenTK, and it compiles in Xamarian Studio, and Visual Studio on Windows, but in MonoDevelop on Ubuntu Linux I keep getting file access errors trying to rebuild all.

In Release Mode:
/usr/lib/mono/4.5/Microsoft.Common.targets: Error: Error executing task ResolveAssemblyReference: Could not load file or assembly '/mnt/hgfs/Matrix/CODE/WinOpenGL/FlightSim/CLI/OpenTK/Version2/FlightSim/FlightSimulator/bin/Release/OpenTK.dll' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (FlightSimulator)

/usr/lib/mono/4.5/Microsoft.Common.targets: Error: Access to the path "/mnt/hgfs/Matrix/CODE/WinOpenGL/FlightSim/CLI/OpenTK/Version2/FlightSim/Geometry/bin/Release/Geometry.dll" is denied. at System.IO.File.Delete (System.String path) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at Microsoft.Build.Tasks.Copy.CopyFile (System.String source, System.String dest, Boolean create_dir) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at Microsoft.Build.Tasks.Copy.CopyFileWithRetries (System.String source, System.String dest, Boolean create_dir) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 (GEOMETRY)

In Debug Mode I'm getting reference errors, even though the references are clearly present:
/usr/lib/mono/4.5/Microsoft.Common.targets: Warning: Reference 'OpenTK, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=bad199fe84eb3df4, processorArchitecture=MSIL' not resolved (FlightSimulator)

/usr/lib/mono/4.5/Microsoft.Common.targets: Warning: Reference 'OpenTK, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=bad199fe84eb3df4, processorArchitecture=MSIL' not resolved (FlightSimulator)

/mnt/hgfs/Matrix/CODE/WinOpenGL/FlightSim/CLI/OpenTK/Version2/FlightSim/FlightSimulator/Program.cs(14,14): Error CS0234: The type or namespace name `Input' does not exist in the namespace `OpenTK'. Are you missing an assembly reference? (CS0234) (FlightSimulator)

Update: Most of the problem was b/c one of the projects was set for the .NET 4.5 framework, but Xamarin Studio currently only supports .NET 4.0

Also a little file permission problem that may be b/c I'm running Linux in a virtual machine...
