Description victor.chelaru 2015-04-13 12:41:46 UTC
To reproduce:

1. Open Xamarin Studio on a Mac computer (this may reproduce on PC too, unsure)
2. Open or create a project with a C# file.
3. Open the C# file in Xamarin Studio
4. Grab the tab and drag it off of Xamarin Studio, effectively detaching the tab into its own separate window
5. Click inside the detached file's text editor
6. Hold the Command key, and press the comma key (which is the shortcut for the search bar)
7. Notice that the search bar does not gain focus

Expected results - The search bar should gain focus when working in a detached window (same as when working with a window embedded in Xamarin Studio)

Actual results - The Command + comma shortcut does nothing, and leaves the focus in the detached window, so typing with the expectation of entering a search term actually results in typing in the C# window.

I have tried to reproduce this issue and getting the same behavior as reported in bug description BUT I am using command + . (point) to get the focus into search box instead of command + comma.

Fixed in master.

I have checked this issue with latest master build and now this issue does not exist. Now "Command + ." moved focus to search when current focus is on a detached tab.

So I am closing this issue.
