I need to add google messaging servicies as a component, I can search for a component but when I try to add it it does nothing. Nothing response to a click or a key press.
Can you attach the IDE log and Component log files? You can find them by selecting Open Log Directory from the Help menu.
Also what project type are you adding the component into?
I'm trying to add the component to a shared project and within the shared project to my android solution.
I will attach the files you're asking for ASAP.
I've double checked this and it doesn't create an component log file. Im also not the only one with this problem on your forum I saw some other people that also have this issue. I hope this will get fixed ASAP, cause I just basically can't work on my app anymore right now.
Can you attach the IDE log file? That should be created even if the component log file is not created.

The IDE log file
I've included the IDE log file for you!
From the IDE log I can see some errors loading the web view.
ERROR [2015-03-30 11:45:55Z]: WebView failed to load request to https://components.xamarin.com/ide/?existing=1273,1276&supported=android,mobile&t=1&vw=1, error The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -999.) (-999).

Although the web page is displayed. There is nothing else in the logs that seems to tell me why the mouse clicks are not working.
"I'm trying to add the component to a shared project and within the shared project to my android solution." - are you adding the Component directly to the Shared project? Does the shared project have a Components folder in the Solution window? I would expect the Components folder to appear for Android and iOS projects but not Shared projects. Can you add a component to an Android or iOS project?
No i'm adding the components to the iOS and Android projects not to the shared project. Also when I create a new project I still can't add a component. The shared project does not have a components folder.
Also there are more people facing this issue take a look here: https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/35889/component-store-appears-but-doesnt-respond-to-mouse-or-keyboard-input?
Any info on this? I installed a virtual machine with Windows on it and installed Xamarin there and it works perfectly, but I hope that it will be fixed soon since a virtual machine isn't as smooth as running it on your natie OS.
Would you be able to attach the output from Xamarin Studio - About Xamarin Studio - Show Details. Thanks.
This seems to be a problem affecting Yosemite 10.10.3. Previous versions of Yosemite do not have this problem.

@BasJansen - Would it be possible to make this bug public instead of private? Then anyone can see the bug report and add themselves to the cc list?
@MattWard sure where can I do that?
@BasJansen - Thanks. I have made it public now. This was just a case of unticking the Xamarin Team (Private Bug) option and unticking the Private check boxes for the comments.
Matt / Bas - thanks for making this public. I had the same issue as Bas, as soon as I updated to Yosemite 10.10.3 the component store died :(
@MattWard will there be a solution soon? Cause this probelem is around for more than 2 weeks already.
The bug is being looked at but unfortunately there is no fix for the problem currently. The only workaround available is to use Mavericks, Yosemite version 10.10.2 or older, or Windows.
@MattWard Okay thanks for the quick reply and info and hopefully we will see a fix soon:-).
This is now fixed. The next release of Xamarin Studio 5.9 will include this fix.

When can we expect the release of Xamarin Studio 5.9?
