Description troywillmot 2015-03-23 03:56:26 UTC
This issue does not appear to happen in v1.3.1. It does happen in 1.4 and (and presumably versions in between). It occurs for the Windows Phone platform for both physical devices and the emulator.

Sample repro solution attached.

The issue occurs when tapping certain parts of the list item. If you tap on the main area (or area containing sub views) then it works correctly. However if you tap on 'edges', in particular the bottom rightish portion of the list view item then the problem occurs. I have recorded a screencast to demonstrate this (though sadly it doesn't show the clicks occurring. Also when the mouse cursor disappears off the bottom of the video, that indicates the back button on the emulator is being clicked to return to the previous screen.

Basic sequence of events;

1. Run the attached solution.
2. Tap on an item in the list (first one will do). It should highlight, a progress bar appears, then the list is covered with a panel showing details of the tap. Tap the back button on the emulator.
3. Now simulate a 'lazy, inaccurate tap' on another item by clicking on another item in the list but near the right hand side of the list and near where the bottom edge of that item should be. The new item won't change to the selected style, but the progress bar will appear...
4. The details panel is shown again, but shows the details for the previous item.

My actual users are experiencing this on real devices, they often use a thumb to tap an item in the list and if they're right handed that's often just some rough area on the right hand side of the list. The tap itself *is* within the area of the correct item so should work, but the item tapped event returns the previously selected item instead.
