Description Thomas Holmes 2015-03-18 17:20:51 UTC
I installed Xamarin yesterday hoping to use with Visual Studio 2013 Premium. However, whenever I try to start a new project I get an error saying the compiler could not be created. Older projects build, but there are no language services and CS files are treated like regular text files.

I've tried using the Visual Studio repair tool in add remove programs and devenv.exe /ResetSkipPkgs but that hasn't fixed the problem. I suspect the problem is related to Rosyln, which I've been using for a few months now.

I've posted about my problem on the Xamarin forums (http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/36083/c-compiler-could-not-be-created) and StackOverflow (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/29132705/c-compiler-could-not-be-created-after-installing-xamarin) and it was suggested I submit a bug here.

I really don't want to reinstall Visual Studio, but I think I'm out of options. Any advice?
