Enter a '0' [read zero] character in an Entry field with keyboard type set to numeric on iPad. Then enter any non-numeric character. The displayed text is now 0 followed by whatever non-numeric characters you want to type in after that. This is not consistent with Android's behavior. Android will not allow non-numeric characters even after a '0' character is entered.
*** Bug 28164 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This is how the iPad choses to display numeric keyboards.
