First time running MD after disabling the git addin, MD shows an error dialog with the following message, After this dialog is closed, MD crashes.

Should we disable git by default as a workaround for this issue?

Do we have any idea of what the scope of the effort is to fix this issue?
Comment 3 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2011-11-07 17:23:36 UTC
It's bug in Mono.Addins. Your suggestion for a workaround doesn't make sense - it's a bug that happens when the user uses the addin manager to disable the git addin. I'd be surprised if more than a couple of users ever did that.
Comment 4 Joseph Hill 2011-11-07 18:43:28 UTC
Thanks for the additional information.

I didn't realize that there weren't many people that would disable it. My suggestion was that, if people are disabling it anyways, we should ship MD with it disabled already. That assumed that there was a way to ship a working MD with the addin disabled / removed already.
Comment 5 Alan McGovern 2011-11-14 16:19:39 UTC
This must have been fixed because I cannot reproduce the issue.
