Let me know if you have any problems reproing the issue. One thing to note, when i say 'option-backwards' i mean 'option backspace/delete' so that i delete the previous word.

New resolver branch, commit b00a2d77b6. This could potentially affect 2.8.5 too.

fixed that one.

Yes it affects the 2.8.x line. The completion window is very, very old code. It roots in old #develop code. There the text editor was replaceable - the completion window had it's own edit buffer & listened to 'backspace' events for example.

Unfortunately it doesn't know about all editor atcions like option-backwards. I now changed the input  handling & storage of the completion window - it now uses the text editor as base. 
(however still using an old interface :))

Even if the 'input' system has some tests I regard this change as experimental - we need some days to test it. I committed it to the newresolver branch - since tihs branch is 'exprimental' as well.
