Details to bug

App crashes with Java.Lang.NoSuchMehodError on Phone with Android 4.2.1, while it works on other phones/tablet with higher Android-version.
Not sure, but think this is a new bug in 1.4 (0/1).
Details see attachment...

This is not limited to Forms, nor is it limited to 4.2.1. I'm seeing it on a S4 emulator running 4.3 (traditional Xamarin.Android).

If I make this call, I get the Java.Lang.NoSuchMethodError (CustomNotification is a custom "toast" type):

			public void RemoveNotification(CustomNotification notification) {
				var windowManager = notification.WindowManager;
				if (windowManager != null && notification.View.IsAttachedToWindow /* THROWS EXCEPTION */) {
					try {
						windowManager.RemoveView (notification.View);
					} catch (IllegalStateException) {  }

					// Queue up display notification
					SendMessageDelayed (notification, Messages.DisplayCustomToast, 500);

I have broken David's information into a separate case on Bugzilla (https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=28128).

@Fredy Wenger are you still having this issue with the latest forms version?

Comment 6 Fredy Wenger 2015-07-23 07:05:10 UTC
Can't say it, as I don't have the Phone with the Issue (Chinese-Phone (Samsung GT-i9502 compatible) with Android 4.2.1) anymore to do a re-test... :-()
On my other devices, I don't had and don't have it..
Comment 7 Rui Marinho 2015-07-23 13:03:56 UTC
Please reopen if issue still happens.
