XS 5.7.2.7 log of failed startup

Same here.
Works if '%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\XamarinStudio-5.0\Config\addins-setup.config' is deleted or renamed.

Xamarin Studio logs from before & after hitting issue

Originally when I tested yesterday, I was able to reproduce the bug in parallels; whereby after updating to Xamarin Studio 5.7.2 (build 7); it would open right after the update (as expected) but once closed and reopened it would fail to open.

However, today XS 5.7.2 (build 7) seems to be working for me. I can only think of two variables that might have changed:

1) For testing purposes I switched back to an install of XS 5.7.1 (build 17) briefly.
2) I rebooted both the Parallels VM & my entire mac (for unrelated reasons.)

I'm including my logs from XS from both before & after hitting the issue in case that offers more clues; but I'm still not sure what might have changed.

What do you recommend me doing? I am stuck in a broken Xamarin Studio and can not find a solution. :(
Comment 9 Kent Green [MSFT] 2015-03-11 20:25:55 UTC
If needed, the previous version(s) of Xamarin Studio can be downloaded from here directly: https://store.xamarin.com/account/my/subscription/downloads
Comment 10 Andrew 2015-03-12 16:46:06 UTC
I used the universal installer and deleted the old Xamarin AppData and Program Files folders. everything worked.
Comment 11 Lluis Sanchez 2015-03-13 09:04:04 UTC
This seems to be caused by an incorrect uninstallation of the Xamarin Studio being replaced. It is hard to tell what may have happened without an install log. You should be able to fix this issue by uninstalling any existing Xamarin Studio using the Control Panel, and then installing XS again.
Comment 12 Lluis Sanchez 2015-07-24 07:22:26 UTC
Closing for now. If it happens again we'll need an installation log.
