simple test case with 2 buttons
Description of Problem:
When adding a new resource to an android xml file, the resource is generated correctly when building, as using it in code builds ok. However, intellisense for the new resource only appears after opening and closing the Resource.designer.cs file.
(Running MD 2.8.5 - there isn't a 2.8.5 in bugzilla for MD ... see bug 2659)
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Add a new button to Main.axml, giving it an id
2. In code reference the button through Resource.Id and build.
Everything builds ok, but typing Resource.Id. displays an intellisense list without the new button.
The button's id should appear in the intellisense list
How often does this happen?
I attached a trivial test case which is in a state where it has the new button and builds ok with code that references it, but the intellisense list doesn't show the button because I haven't opened Resource.Designer.cs.
We probably need to emit a file change notification after running the msbuild target.
Fixed in master.

Hi Michael, can you please advise how can we emit a file change notification after running the msbuild target ??
That's something that the addin does, it's not something you can do manually.
You may be able to work around this by switching focus to another app then back to MD, which would force MD to detect changes in all files of the project.
This is still an issue - just ran across it in a fresh project after starting to use MonoDroid.
