Description softlion 2015-02-25 05:38:11 UTC
If i install the release apk of my android app on the official Android 5.0.1 simulator (or device) using this command line:

adb install -l C:\DiskJ\MasterUni\ac\Ac.Droid\bin\Release\com.shapr-Signed.apk

Then if i use Visual Studio to install a debug version of the same app on the same simulator/device, i receive a popup telling me the app version is incompatible.

After this message, the app icon can not be found in the simulator/device, and opening the settings/app menu from the device shows the com.app name only with a size of 0 bytes. And tapping it crashes the settings activity. There is no way to remove it completely.

I have checked this issue but not able to reproduce this issue. To reproduce this issue I have followed the steps mentioned below.

1. Open VS 2013 and crate a simple android app.
2. Install the release apk of android app suceessfully on android device via below command.
>adb install C:\Users\udam\Desktop\App303.App303-Aligned.apk
3. Deploy the same app in debug mode on device sucessfully.

Screencast : http://www.screencast.com/t/s1E03bvf

Note: I have checked this issue with android devices Samsung Galaxy Note3 (android 5.0) and LG Nexus 4 (android 4.4.2) and not able to reproduce with both devices.

Could you please have a look on the above test steps and screencast and let me know if I missed anything to reproduce this issue.
