Description Michael 2015-02-16 14:01:39 UTC
While setting up a httpclient with System.Net.Http, customer is unable to set Timeout Property to a value greater then 60 seconds.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached projects
2. Build and deploy it on simulator.
3. Observed that it deploying successfully.
4. Click on the "Test" button to start the HttpClient request
 - insert breakpoint at line 67 of TestRequestViewModel.cs to see Timeout Property set to 180 seconds
5. Service will cut out at 60 seconds

I was able to reproduce issue on my system using:
Xamarin Studio 5.7.1 (build 17)
Xamarin.iOS - Version:
Xcode - Version 6.1.1 (6A2008a)
Mac OS 10.10.2

Marek, this looks similar to bug #13200.

I get The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1001.)

You are using ModernHttpClient which appears to completely ignore any timeout value.

Quickly looking at ModernHttpClient source code it needs to set this property
