Description Cole Mickens 2015-02-15 15:31:44 UTC
I recently switched one of my ASP.NET vNext projects from mono 3.10 to 3.12, and I'm now experiencing this SIGSERV when running `kpm restore`.

Native stacktrace:

        mono() [0x4accac]
        mono() [0x50451f]
        mono() [0x42a7c7]
        /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0(+0xf0a0) [0x2b464c3850a0]
        mono() [0x585af3]
        mono() [0x582484]
        mono() [0x61e0b6]
        /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0(+0x6b50) [0x2b464c37cb50]
        /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(clone+0x6d) [0x2b464c66e70d]

Debug info from gdb:

Got a SIGSEGV while executing native code. This usually indicates
a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries
used by your application.

Please install debug symbols for mono and gdb on your server so you can get a good backtrace with symbols. Report back with those otherwise this report is not actionable.

I've made a number of changes to my configuration: different inputs to `kpm`, base docker image and I'm using mono-3.12.0-branch. With these changes, I can no longer repro. If I do wind up repro-ing again, I now have mono from source and gdb available in my image.

That would definitely be helpful.
