Description Mark Probst 2015-01-14 16:06:01 UTC
XS seems to have two separate ways of setting the working directory of a program to be run. One of them is through the "Run with" menu, the other via some obscure abuse of the "Custom Commands" options page. The former, much simpler one, however, seems to only apply to running, not debugging a program.

Please unify those two ways of setting program arguments and working directories, and make it work for both running and debugging.

This is fixed in the run-configurations branch, planned for C8.

I have checked this Issue with latest master build (XS 6.1.0.5074) and observed that when I set working directory using below steps

For Release configuration:
in "Project Options"->"Run->Custom Command" with type "Execute"
set the command: ${TargetFile}
set your working directory to ${SolutionDir}

and run the application, It is showing me error: "Failed to execute custom command"

For Debug configuration:
in "Project Options"->"Run->Custom Command" with type "Execute"
set the command: ${TargetFile}
set your working directory to ${SolutionDir}

and debug the application, It is showing me error: "Failed to execute custom command"

This is the screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/uEdlzjrwYr. I am not sure how can I check this Issue here.

Environment details and logs: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/d19e3ab9d0c9777b82e4937244ae3a6b

Could you please provide me some steps so that I can check this enhancement?

Saurabh, please open a new bug if you are encountering this issue on master, or even better talk to Danish if he or you are able to reproduce this on run-configurations branch/build
